Oh I wish when inspiration hits I could bound off to my corner of the workroom and get going. Even with my husband away....I still can't manage it. We have had quite a heat wave, so my first thing is to set the alarm really early ('bout 5.30) crawl out of bed, grab a coffee and water my garden, check the pet bowls, tidy up, check in with Mother via phone....then if there are no domestic dramas I can relax a bit and get creative. Even if I don't get time with my machine, every night I pick up some hand-work. I am thinking though....might keep an exercise book on hand.....jotting down ideas/colours/designs before they get forgotten might be a plan.
Anyway.....I'm glad you leapt into action....look forward to seeing what you came up with.

I usually sew every evening and on weekends. I work all day, a job. Don't know how much sewing I will be doing this coming week or month. We have to put a new ceiling in the dining room and kitchen. We will have a real mess for a while.
I'm glad you are able to get going on your ideas.

I do the same thing. And you're right, appointments tend to mess up my day too. I wish I could jump out of bed and get started right away, but alas, too many things to do before I can start sewing.
