Grace quilt frame ????
I have a grace quilt frame. The lady who set it up used these plastic tubes in the leaders to hook it to the
bars instead of using Velcro. Does anyone else have a set up like this? My leaders keep twisting on the bars
and they keep moving up and down the bar. My question is should I replace these tubes with Velcro? or are
the tubes not on the frame bars right? Help Please

I have a grace frame, and my leaders are also attached to the frame using the tubes. They can slide a tiny bit, but I really haven't found that to be an issue. I have the center of both leaders marked, and when I load a quilt, I just make sure that the leaders are centered on the rails. I've not had them move once the quilt was loaded.
Don't know/understand what you mean by twisting on the bars...

I assume the leader fabric held in place by the tubes is slipping? If so, sounds like the leader fabric is not thick enough to make a tight fit, or that the tubes have become distorted somehow with use.
Edit: Another possibility is that the channels in the rollers have been compromised in some way, perhaps larger than they should be.

they put plastic tubing in mine too when first started i did not like it it moved around too much
i took it all off my self and use packaging tape and put back on i haven't had a problem with it
since. it takes a while and has to be straight but it was worth the hassle

Thank you for answering my post. My frame is brand new and tubes are also new. When I am loading my quilt and
backing on as I am rolling the quilt and backing I can feel the leaders sliding around. And once the quit is loaded
the leaders just slide up and down the bar. So obviously something is not tight enough. Would you remove the
tubes and go to Velcro or contact someone to see if I am having a problem?
