Default Grand Rapids Michigan Quilt Show

Did anyone go? I went with my group of quilting girls and we spent the night. What a great show, had so much fun, saw so much. Two girls bought sewing machines and one bought an embroidery machine. Lots of fabric was bought, new patterns, new gadgets, my! Can't wait until next year to go again! Marked on the calendar already.

Did they take the machines to use in the hotel room? Or did they take classes? Is this a large show?

I've never been to that show, but I learned not to take a machine for use after hours in my room. I was always so dead tired by the end of the day of quilt inspecting and shopping that all I wanted to do was go out for dinner where someone would wait on me, bring me a drink and a 'shouldn't have' dessert, then go to the hotel, get into jammies and review our yummy purchases! I'm glad you had a wonderful time!!

Yep, I went. I've also made reservations for next year. Saw lots of beautiful quilts and spent way too much money.

Hi Jan, it was the first year there, the AQS I think it is called. No the ladies bought brand new machines, they were on a mission! We were all beat from the day, but found time to go out to dinner, have cocktails and even went to the Polish Festival and danced a polka or two!
