I am dragging my feet, using every excuse to not start on these quilt's. I have promised one for all 3 grandchildren. The problem is I am new to quilting, and once you cut those baby clothes apart there is no going back. I have twin boys, age 4 and a little girl age 5. I have cut 1 set apart for 1 boy, but do they need to be the same since it is for twins? I have almost 2 of everything for them. I do not really have a good plan yet, and I am hopeing to get some ideals as I go along. What do you guys think?????

I don't think you need to make them the same because they are twins. I say have fun with it and make them all individual. I am excited to see your progress.

if they are the same, the kids won't be able to tell them apart and that might cause a disagreement :)

Just because they are twins they have different personnalities and are indivuals. Make the quilts the way you want for each child.

Ive seen quilts where they dont cut them at all. They applique the cloths to the quilt. Might try googling it.

I have identical twin grandsons who are now 7. Even though they are 'identical' they have different interests. Please don't feel you need to make the quilts the same. They will appreciate unique quilts.

I have 2 granddaughers. I made them dresses and sunsuits when they were little. Now they are older they wanted quilts made from them. I took them apart and cut into squares, arranged into a design and hand quilted them with hearts It was a treat when they saw them and picked out the different blocks and remembered the various dresses they came from.

What about using the front of the ...o....pants for one quilt and the back of the same pair for the other quilt...? You could do the same for the shirts or whatnot...just an idea:):)
