I have completed the top for a 60"x60" Grandmother's flower garden.

I have not figured out how to bind the thing. It's very loud and I think it will be OK after receiving some ideas from ya'll.

One way is to applique the edges to a border fabric, so you then have the straight edge of the border to bind instead of all those small inner and outer corners.

Another option is to add on hexagons and parts of hexagons (half-hexagons and triangles) to create a straight edge to bind. These can all be the same color, to form a color border, or can be portions of flowers.

Thanks for sharing this technique. It is worth saving for future reference.
Who would ever have thought this would be so simply accomplished. OK, so it looked simple. And did you notice her sewing machine?
