I nearly had a heart attack when I opened it up and found out the ink from the price tag had smeared on it. What were they thinking? And right in the middle of the quilt, too. Who puts a sticker on and writes on it with a black permanent marker to start with? Good thing we had that long thread about how to get ink off just recently.

I was really worried about what washing the quilt would do to the embroidery, but it came thru fine. But no puppy paws to get it dirty...I don't want to have to launder it again if I can avoid it.

Years ago (before quilting) I started a printed cross stitch quilt with colors of peach and green. I worked and worked on it but never got far--got bored working on the same pattern and colors. Finally got tired of looking at it half finished and gave it to a friend. I never inquired to see if she finished it. Quilting is much more fun and quicker. I give the person who embroided that quilt a big round of applause for finishing it--it is a beautiful quilt.
