Great fabric find at Hancock Fabrics
#1
I must admit I quilt as therapy. I have problems with depression that I won't bore you with, but quilting is a very soothing and theraputic thing for me to do. I love it. Anyways, I tried to do an applique quilt, only to remember why I hate applique. lol.
So I am embarking on a wholecloth quilt.I thought I would go to Hancock Fabrics and just see if they even had wide fabric suitable for whole cloth quilting. I found, in white, 118" width cotton fabric made by Fabri-Quilt for less than $11 a yard!!! I think it was like $10.95 a yard. Considering how wide this fabric is, that is a great deal. It feels like butter. I think it is the softest, smoothest cotton I have ever felt. Even the girl that cut it and the cashier were surprised at how lovely it felt. This is not cheap, low grade fabric. Just goes to show, there may be some real gems out there, you just have to find them!
