I had my machine lift put in and adjusted it--even with the table as apposed to sewing on the arm.
I couldn't get over how well I could see what I was sewing. It's lower than the arm and I am looking down on it. I've been sewing for years on the arm and can sew a straight line, but actually seeing exactly where the needle penetrates will make it almost perfect.
It's like having the back of your machine tilted up for better viewing. I would recommend a flat bed to everyone.

Could you post a picture? Not sure I understand what you put the lift in? I would like to convert an old desk top to a top with lift for machine.

Here is the lift in the machine. I will be getting a plexi-glass to cover the left side of the desk.
I've gotten my room cleaned up and set up the way I want it now. lol my room looks bigger now that everything is in its place.
