I know how you feel. We just recently downsized. Not only did I have to pack it up but I couldn't take it all.

Happy and breakage-free moving to all of you.

It is amazing what you find tucked away when you have to turn out all the closets...That said, I recently unpacked a box I found in the attic which had been untouched since our most recent move, which was 16 years ago!! And I hadn't missed the stuff in that box one bit. (Granted, it was mostly knick-knacks and not vitally important stuff like fabric...)

I am NOT moving, but I need to pretend I am and go through the drill! It would be worth it just to get everything back in order! Good luck to all of you...

We are repainting and my bedroom was a big catch all. Had a path to get to bed! LOL Now, it is all clean and clutter free....but most of the stuff I took out is in the LR. I'm determined to go thru all the stuff and get rid of what I don't need rather than "sticking" it back in my bedroom. At least I'm looking at it everyday and it's not hiding in corners and under the bed.

I hope it's a happy move. You're friends will still be there for you, plus you'll make more in your new location. I understand how you feel, my daughter just moved from West coast to East. Wishing you happiness in your new home.

I enjoy moving every once in a while. I find things I forget I had. I hope it works as well for you!

I recently moved from CA to AL and had to pack for the move. Brought a sewing friend over, and we sorted and purged and shared and laughed over 20 year old lace (which, by the way, I just added to an outfit for DGD birthday!).
It took over 3 months living with my DS and DDIL til I found a new home and unpacked. Boy what fun discovering all my stuff again! I have a great new room with it's own bathroom/dressing room and it is really large with 2 windows. I am truly blessed! I sew for others, ME and do a little quilting, having sew much fun! Good luck with your moves, ladies, and enjoy unpacking ! Linda
