A couple of years ago, my local Hancocks sold all their fixtures and completely redid their store. I don't go there often enough to know how they're doing or what they've added.

Our Hancock store has been trying strange stuff for months, and it usually ends up on the clearance racks - such as bedroom slippers, gauze skirts, and gadgets you see on late night tv.

Nearly half the store is home dec, with the remaining areas roughly equal parts of clothing fabric and notions / cottons / crafts.

I have been using their scannable club card for months but never have discounts from it. Has anyone else?

I don't go into my Hancock's because it is dirty, disorganized, has poor customer service, is dark and smells bad.........Joann's is 3 doors down in the same shopping center so if I need fabric I tend to go Joann's, LQS, or across town to Hobby Lobby. I did, however, see huge signs for big discounts on fabric at Hancock's over the last few months so maybe they are going crafty too.

That card is not for discounts, it only is supposed to keep you on the mailing list.

Please tell Hancock's all these things. They have changed their name to "Hancock Fabrics, Crafts and More. Boo. All the stores will be getting more crafts which probably means less fabric.
