Important for anybody going to the store - they close early (maybe 3pm) on Saturdays and they are closed on Sundays.

If you get to Paducah, leave time to visit the museum, if just for the stained glass windows. Outstanding.

I go to Hancocks every year during the quilt show. That is the time to go. It's so exciting seeing hundreds of quilters in the store and sitting on the porch chatting. Hancocks bring in porta potties for men only. The men's bathroom in the store is for women only during the show week. E Burns has a shop in town and during the show has a huge tent and barn at the fairgrounds. It's a fun place to hang out.

I found the website and ordered a catalog but where is the actual store you have visited? I can't find any locations listed on the website.
