upon surfing the net, i found some great prices on bundles of precut Hoffman hand dyes @ Craftown fabrics.
if you use hand dyes, what's your source? what do you consider a fair price for them?

i dye my own hand dyes most of the time- but once in a while i will come across one somewhere i have to have...sometimes handdyes are much more expensive than printed fabrics...sometimes they are less...i think it depends on a few things-
location
who the dyer is...(Ricky Timms hand dyes are like $25 a yard)
what the base fabric is (muslin, PFD fabric, broadcloth ect)
and again
location...
what i pay $8 for you may pay $12 for and she might pay $3 for...it varies greatly across the country.
for me dyeing my own is the way to go-i LOVE the process!

If they are FQ's, the going rate in my area is about $3 each. Roughly $9-10/yard.
