I use YLI Quilting Thread, 40/3 ply. It’s 100% glazed cotton. It never kinks or knots up. It’s stiff enough so it easily goes through the eye of my size 10 Richard Hemming quilting needles.

I use the Guttermann hand quilting thread.

I also use C&C quilting thread for my hand quilting.

I also use Gutterman thread. I buy it at Joann's or my local quilt store when it is on sale. I run my length of thread along an old piece of candle before I quilt with it.

I use Sulky, Gutermann and Mettler cotton thread for hand quilting. Also DMC floss and TheSilkMill silk thread in short lengths as it tends to fray.

My favorite quilting thread is Superior's King Tut variegated thread, 40wt/3ply. Another favorite is YLI hand quilting thread.
