Default Handy Hint + Hubby Saved The Day

I have been an avid reader of the forum for some time now. My Brother Innovis 1000 QC started to display a message to turn off the machine and remove the needle plate. We did this, cleaned the machine and replaced the needle plate. Then the message kept recurring, over and over. We repeated the procedure of cleaning and then thought we would have to have the machine to be repaired - quite a trip for us. Hubby said "Let me have just one more go." In the meantime I had been reading this forum. A handy hint said to use an artist's brush. Well I found a very soft makeup brush with a long handle. Result: Hubby, torch plus this brush found very small particles the machine brush could not find. The machine is now performing at it's best again - a very cheap repair.

Thanks for sharing - those lint bunnies like to hide in very dark places!
