I have lots of vintage ladies hankies and want to make a quilt with them.I don't care for the butterfly pattern or southern bell patterns I have seen.Anyone got any other suggested patterns?

I made one where you did a 25 inch block and appliqued the hankerchief right on it. Looks great. I then put a sashing of 2.5 inches in between each block but set it on the I put it on the diagonal. Then a 4 inch border all around except at the top. I still have it but I don't have any pictures of it but if you are interested I could take some. I also have the patten if you would want it-I think :-D

I will down load a picture tonight. I have the pattern it came out of a McCall's Quilting mag in 1998, called Attic Treasure, if you would like it.
