Wow, you made a haul! I have some of my husband's grandmother's hankies - all from the 20s & 30s - there is a butterfly quilt pattern I'd like to make. Unfortunately, none of her great-grandchildren would appreciate something like that.

OH, SmockingRN!!!!! That jacket is just adorable! How precious! Did you add some extra embroidery to it also?

Thank you! Yes, It is embellished with a bunch of heirloom-type hand embroidery. It is lined and has a flannel interlining. Very cozy for little ones!

Sewing With Nancy did series on making things with hankies including some really cute tops. Looks like a ton of fun!

I love the old fashioned hankies so much that I ordered a dozen from Starcrest of California just two weeks ago. Love them !!!Congrats on a nice haul..

Make a quilt with them. I'm sure I've seen posts or articles about using hankies in quilts.

I have always wanted to make a hankie quilt with old ladies hankies...I am always searching in antique shops....you are very lucky to have gotten them...I also use alot of linen tableclothes and napkins but mostly newer ones...although I have some of my grandma's I use on holidays..she is always with me...blessings
