I haven't used this before, but, it's very similar to a 'John Flynn' system looks like it would work pretty well left to right, but somewhat limited back & forth, based on the photo; WAY too small for my needs. You might want to try it... send it back if it doesn't suit your needs.

I have one. I got on the clearance table. Never used it but I saw a little girl on youtube using it and for machine quilting and having a great time. Only problem, I didn't save the sight and now I can't find it.
