I have several newer machines that have the knee lift. I haven't learned to like using it yet. I try but end up taking out the lift handle.

I have an Eversewn Sparrow 30 and it's a really neat machine. It sews a pretty stitch and has the qualities you described. I purchased mine from Overstock.com and used one of their coupons. I got free shipping and a really, really good price. It was shipped to me from Sewvacdirect.com, a Texas dealer I've bought from many times, and who has a really good reputation for customer service and good products.

"Sewing Lounge". I like it. That's what I will call my dining room from now on.

Missouri Star sells the machines as well, if I am not mistaken they carry the whole lot of them. They have been using them in many tutorials for a while now.

I bought an Eversewn 30 the end of December. Might be the best purchase I've ever made. It is a joy to sew on and my precision has improved greatly with this machine.

My Viking Diamond Deluxe and my Ruby all have these features. My Brother NQ3500D has them too.

Good to read all these comments. I am considering the EverSewn Qe and Bernette 38. It seems like a lot of people have had major issues with the eversewn but then tons love it!

It's funny when you look for reviews there are always a few that have such horrible machines you wonder how the company stays in business and then there are ones that absolutely adore the machine. So I have gone to doing my research online for any type of machines, and try to always buy locally so if there is a problem it is a much easier return.

I have both the 20 and 30. Like both of them for travel and retreats. I had an issue with the first 30 and contacted their customer service department. No questions asked about it after I told representative what happened. They immediately sent out Fed Ex to pick it up and within a few days sent a new machine. I can’t say enough good things about their customer service. Also I was having a bit of trouble getting the settings right on the 30. Wasn’t sure if it was me or the machine. Took it to a Bernina dealer and he did some minor adjustments and it works great now. Best part, No Charge.
