    Hi all,
Question, has anyone ever tied a quilt with crochet thread, or some may call is crochet cotton?

I saw a fellow on one of the quilting shows mention using dental floss! I agree on the yarn - too fuzzy

Yes, I did it several times until I started hand quilting my quilts! It works great.

Yes...I use embroidery thread all the time. You can use it either 6 stranded or 3 stranded.

I've also heard of using crochet cotton, but haven't tried it yet. I do have lots of crochet cotton and you can always find it at thrift stores, so I may try it next time.

Pearl cotton works well too. I use it for tatting, gimp cording on buttonholes, whatever. Comes is a variety of colors and weights.
