Just a few more. There are 30 blocks in all, 28 have family names on them. I hope someone will appreciate it when we are gone.

Another family block, to think this man had 5 sons in the war and himself.

I did enter it in one fair out here. You know what they said? They said that LIncoln's face was the wrong color and distracted from the quilt. I haven't entered it in any others since.

No, but the books sound very fetching. I loved history in school and I guess I always will. The history chanel is on our t.v. a lot. Also the p.b.s. chanels.

We belong to a netflix (a movie mailing company) and we have just gone through the whole series of the presidents biographies. It was oh so interesting.

Biography is my favorite type of book. Other than my bible, that is.

OMG Pates8e8 -- LOVE that quilt!! What do you mean -- Lincoln's face is the wrong color and detracts from the quilt???? Somebody's just jealous because it looks so great! I'd enter it in another show!! Really nice work!!

Went to a quilt show this weekend that is always done in a park that has a Lincoln Shrine. They advertised a quilt from WWl. There are only 4 left. It was made by ladies of the Red Cross for soldier's families that lost a son. Well, we went looking and found out they had decided not to put it on exhibit, they had it in the basement and were cleaning it or something. Big disappointment. Their other quilts were down this year, usually the whole park is full of hanging quilts, but only 3 lines of them this year.
