I am hoping someone on here has done this before. I am wanting to coat cotton fabric with vinyl to make a drawstring backpack. I saw one yesterday at a quilt shop but the shop did not have the iron on vinyl in stock. So I am wondering if the steam2seam and a thin vinyl shower curtain will work?

the steam a seam would melt the shower curtain long before it adheres- steam a seam needs---steam---recipe for disaster with a vinyl shower curtain.

How hot does your iron have to be to set the adhesive in the steam a seam? maybe try it on a few scraps first? :D:D:D
