    Haul on sewing thread today

I stopped at a garage sale and paid $5 for a tote full of sewing thread today. 219 spools to be exact. Lots of beige, brown, wine, black but spools of all colors really. I do almost all charity quilt sewing and I can share with 2 friends so it will be used.

Good score! I'm trying to use up all my odds and ends for scrap sewing as well.

Lucky you! Have fun - it's always nice to have stuff on hand so you don't have to stop and go anywhere to get something you need.

That's amazing! My only caution would be to pull a length from the spool and really pull on it to be sure it hasn't dry rotted. It would be terrible for all of your hard work to come undone because of faulty thread.
