Need ideas for table runner and placemats :?: :?:

Checked out one of the local Walmarts that is losing their fabric department yesterday. The jelly rolls are regular $19.97 marked down to $9.00. One is perfect for a summer table runner and placemats.

    Any suggestions on a pattern?

I am in the process of a red, white and blue strip quilt for DD. With the left over strips I am going to sew them together and then cut the length that I need for runners. The strips will be the short way and then bordered with red and blue batiks. Very simple, but it will look great. Also, this way I can cut exactly the length that I need for any given surface.

Apparently all the Wal-Marts are doing that special. I got two of the rolls last night, both batiks!

I wish we had Wal-Mart in Australia. The closest store to me is in Hawaii.

    Hmmm.... Hawaii...now there's a thought.

Moda invented the jelly roll and have other precuts too. Here's their website and they have lots and lots of free patterns:
