Yes., I bought a whole bolt of reproduction fabric and a Kona snow cotton bolt for backgrounds on quilts. I did get 20% off from the local quilt shop. It has come in handy...

When Walmart remodeled in hattiesburg, I really went crazy. I bought a whole buggy (cart) full of mostly full bolts. I think I have almost every color and pattern they carried. I try to stay out of fabric stores mostly now, can't be trusted to restrain myself.

I never thought of buying a whole bolt. It sounds like a good idea if the price is right.

I buy full bolts of muslin and other cottons. I also make childrens clothing so I will purchase many cottons by the bolt. I have found bolts at yard sales and yes if it is something I think I will use I will buy it. We are never cheap if we need or want to save money.
