I'll have to try that.Last week we had 90 degree temps and the orange one (cruise) has that underfur so he's pretty thick with hair. I used an old pair of machine quilting gloves with the little rubber nubs. He was in heaven and defurred in 1/2 an hour. You should have seen the pile of fur though. Looked like we got two more cats.LOL

My x and my kitty used to lay right behind the needle.. OMG! that would flip me out.
Hope poor kitties tail is ok. I made mats for mine too. they only lay on them if I spray them with catnip. they would rather be on MOM

I have a helper too. Her name is BuBu. I figure she just wants her mommy's love. 99% of the time she could care less. When I sit at my machine she wants to be a part of the process. No, I can not sew or type with a cat on my lap. If she could learn to be a collar that would be nice. She is helping me in my avatar.

We've traveled with 3 different kitties and I always wanted a lap cat so now I have one, Ray my 15 lb avatar. He just loves to kill the circulation in my legs....then he'll finally lie on the arm rest of my captain's chair, but backwards so I have to support his butt with my hand! gotta love 'em tho....and so far he hasn't taken up computing or sewing

Such pretty kitties!! They look so comfy. My cats love to play with my thread, as it's coming off the spool. I have to shoo them away all the time.
