Yes, I have met several ladies and, in 2010, was able to meet them in person at the Hampton, VA (Convention Center) quilt show. I have met a special "Barbara" from Ohio. We e-mail and also talk on the phone. I have PM'd quite a few, asking questions about their Avatar, batting, pattern names and location, etc., and always appreciate the fast response. Charismah and Borntohandquilt do such beautiful quilting and both have been very kind to share things. Thanks to ALL of you for being such good quilting buddies and for sharing your quilting knowledge and ideas. Sue in VA

Yes, while I was visiting in Germany, a member PM and said she thought where I was staying was quite close to her home and would I like to come for a visit. While her husband thought it was crazy to invite a stranger to their home we hit it off and had several great visits together. Now that I am back in the states we email each other and keep in touch. She knows that she has standing invitation to my house if she visits the US again. Is this a great connector of people or what?

I was just thinking of asking this same question. Some of you seem to know each other quite well. There are a lot of times I feel like writing but so may of you come up with the same idea as I, so I just keep reading on. This is my favorite spot every morning.

I have never met anyone on the board, but feel like I know a lot of you by your work, words, and beautiful pictures.

Hi,

What part of Oregon? I'm in the Salem area and wondered if any of you are near?

I met with several quilters in the Akron area last fall. We hope to do it again this fall. Maybe you could join us for a day! At least you could meet some quilters fairly close to you & maybe keep in contact. They were a great bunch & I am looking forward to spending time with them again.

Yes, I met with a member for coffee a few weeks ago. Had a great time. A group from the area got together the next week, but I wasn't able to go because we were going out of town. Now that we're back, I hope to maybe get together with someone soon.
