Lee Valley and Amazon are selling a carpenter's marking pencil which looks like a potential fabric marking pencil. I'm wondering if there are any opinions on how well they work. Lee Valley's price is best. Thanks for any opinions. 😇

Looked it up on Amazon, and at $48 CAD it looks too pricey for me to want to give it a try.
Besides, from the way I read it, it appears to just be a fancy lead pencil.
Unless there is something that I am missing?

Amazon does sell something called,"General's Sketch and Wash" (#588) pencils that I have found very nice for marking. Sold in boxes of 12, if I remember rightly. The lead is washable with just soap and water and soft enough not to pull and squew material. Love them and so do friends that I gifted pencils to. Used to be about $18.(US) for the box.
