My travel friend is coming in Saturday....we will be heading out for our 2 week road trip. Will be spending 3 days in Paducah. Not just for the quilt store (well, maybe) but also for the history of the area as well. My friend is not a quilter, but she always manages to find SOMETHING for me to make for her. If it involves a specialty ruler, also purchases that and is kind enough to let me keep it. She was impressed when we when to Keepsake Quilting - and she did find 3 things that she wanted done. We love traveling together!

Have a wonderful trip. Check out the row by row experience and the quilting hub to catch shops along the way. I'm headed there in two weeks with my sister. She is not a quilter either but we will have fun. Safe travels

Sounds like you are going to have a wonderful time. Road trips are the best and to add quilt shops along the way, well, who could ask for any thing more?

You might want to check out the quilt museum.

Sounds like fun. I would love to stop by at Hancock of Paducah and say hi to Justin Hancock. This quilt shop is a family run business, a father and his two sons.

We will be going west through NYS, then down through Ohio - stopping overnight in Columbus, then down to Paducah. We do scout out the quilt stores along the way. I will have to check the Garmin to see if we will be going by New Albany and Corydon. Thanks for the heads up!

Sounds like a dream trip. I have been to Paducah (it is about time for another such trip) and enjoyed everything about it. The history of the area was also fun to explore. I enjoyed Hancock's, the museum and Eleanor Burns store. Have fun and be safe.
