When I post pictures, they come up under "recent topics" instead of on the "home" page...why is that? Am I doing something wrong or eliminating something? Thanks

As far as I can tell, no individual person's topic is listed on the "home page" - that only lists the different sections of the board - and then I click on the section I want to look at -

It's because it's YOUR topic and you've read it.

Like this topic. Before you read this post, you could see it by clicking on Main from the Home page.

But it wasn't until someone else posted to it that it showed up (for YOU) on the Recent, Watched and Unread listings as well.

We could all see your first post in the topic on our Recent/Unread listings even though you didn't. ;-)

So, no problem, and you're not doing anything wrong. It's just how the board software operates. Pretty standard.

what I mean is...after you select the title, then everyone's pictures or topics are listed but mine is not...only comes up under "recent topics"

Well, that's kind of backwards. Hmmmm.

Are you talking about the coffee filter post? I saw that this morning.

It's now on page 2.

Remember, it's in descending order by the most recent post to the topic. So all those other topics had posts after yours. I'll bump you to the top now.

Now you're on the first page. But it will move up and down depending on hundreds of other people posting to all the many, many existing topics, not to mention all the ones that will be added today, in the Pictures category.

I think I am not explaining myself clearly. On the home page, I press pictures. then a list of folk's postings are highlighted so I can select whatever I want to look at. My query is, where is my posting? why is it not listed there?
Thanks for any help I can get.

Are you only looking at Page 1 of the Pictures section?

Right this second it's in the middle of Page3 of the Pictures section. You don't see it???

The newsletter is just a once-a-day snapshot of a computer generated list of topics. I really don't understand why anyone reads it. You're missing hundreds of topics.

It is NOT the board.

Here's the board's home page:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/
That's where you should always start.

From the home page you can choose to go anywhere you want, including Recent Topics, Watched Topics, My Topics, Unread, etc.

Go to the Pictures section, and to Page 3. Now your Coffee Filter topic is closer to the bottom.

And it's only 11AM and I already need a nap.
