Help on block arrangement
#1
I am making a memory quilt with the Monet's Wedding quilt pattern by Judy Martin from her book Scraps. http://ros-the-quilter.blogspot.com/...ding-ring.html
This one is the smaller size with 9 inside rings, but the one I want to make has 36!
There are also variations on her site if you scroll down a bit:
http://www.judymartin.com/Viewer-Photos.cfm
I have ten photos printed on fabric that will be in the centre of the rings, but could use 9 or 8 if need be.
I am really struggling with how to arrange the photos amongst the other rings, as there is an even number and whatever I try is still asymmetrical and I don't like it. If there were 25 instead of 36 it would be so much easier!
DH suggested a X pattern with 4 pictures diagonally down and 4 diagonally up and a clear one on either end.
Any ideas? It's driving me nuts... :-o

If your doing six across and six down, you could do one in each corner and four in the center, or you could print two more pictures and do an X.
I know not much help right. lol sorry.
I do love this quilt though can't wait to see it done.

Thanks for the suggestion! Similar to what my quilting mom (shaverg) recommended and I think I may do 4 in the middle, one in each corner and two in the middle of the far sides.
Or I could do an X with just 8 of them and leaving one blank in each corner.
I can't print more, as these were printed professionally by graphic designers and cost a lot of money, so I don't really want to spend more.
