Help with cutting repeats
#1
I need to know if I am cutting the fabric correctly for the repeats. The first pic is of the whole piece of fabric and the second is the first one I cut. Just want to make sure before I cut 4 yards. It looks like the repeats are 13". What size blocks should I use?
Thanks for everyone's help.

It looks right ... what you want is to make sure that the exact same point you start/end with is the same.
I would have squared up the start with the edge of that pear, as it's a good marker, and then gone straight thru to the next pear.
Now, lay that first piece ontop of the fabric length, matching it across the width of the fabric. Then with your ruler, carefully cut on the exact same line.
Then set aside piece #2, and do the same for #3, and the rest.
Glad you aren't waiting!
You'll soon discover how fast it works up ... and then you're hooked!! :)

If you want to add cubes I would cut your stips to 3 3/4" as trying to work out your cubes with different measurements is a real PITA "ask me how I know LOL" which will give you 3 strips for each repeat.
If you are not going to do cubes then you could get 4 strips at 3 1/4" or 3 at around 4 1/4" the choice is yours.
