Help with frame for HQ16?!
Hi! I recently got an HQ 16 (secondhand) and I now need a frame. There is a lady here in Yuma selling her Innova 12' frame for $800 and I really would like it. Does anyone have experience in this area, or know if my HQ would work on that frame? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Best suggestion I can offer is to go see her frame. Can you take your HQ and try it on her frame before you buy?
Or call (1-888-99-QUILT) or write ([email protected]) to Innova and ask if their 12' frame will hold other machines and if so, what machines. Can't hurt to ask.

Thank you all for the replies! The frame is in a storage unit that she rents, and the frame is apart. I've seen pictures, and I've seen other frames just like it. I like the frame, I just don't want to spend the money if it's going to be a hassle to get my machine on it (or on it at all)! I can't take my machine to try it out because she is an older woman and doesn't want to haul the thing out unless she is selling it. That's fair to me, she did let me come over and see a lot of her work and her newer frame and machine. Thanks!

It isn't just the frame you need to be concerned about but also the tracks. Not all machines have the same system.
The original HQ16's would fit on what were folding tables, being clamped down for security.
I got my HQ16 used and had a friend make the table for me. It is wood and steady enough to hold a cow! We put the tracks on that and then the machine on it's trolley. It is still going strong even though we lengthened the table last year. The cost of the homemade table was well under the cost of a HQ table.
