Help? Fusible Interfacings to Back My Hand Embroidery - Woven or Non-Woven?

Subscribe
I need your help.

I use a fusible interfacing on the back of my hand embroidery. It hides the knots and the 'connecting threads' etc.

However. I don't know the difference between woven and non-woven and wonder if I am using the best product.

Currently I use the woven Fashion Fuse by Bosal (product #300). I am thinking of trying the featherweight version (product #312)

Better ideas? Thoughts?

Hmmmmm......never knew there was a difference. I am using one now, but have no idea if it is woven or non-woven. I'm going to go look to see if the package tells me.

I am using a non-woven fusible interfacing on a quilt for some embroidery. It is so light that you can hardly tell it's there. It is Pellon Fusible Sheerweight. It was not very expensive, but it is doing what I wanted it to do. Keeping the embroidery stitches flat and not adding weight to the squares.

Yikes! This will sound like a really dumb question- but do you iron the interfacing on before or after doing the embroidery?

I iron mine on before doing the embroidery.
