Welcome from the land down under, just what I was going to say, pick a colour that you like and go from there, I am making my third quilt I love red and am making it mostly in red I will post a picture when it is finished. it is for a queen size bed

Hi and welcome from Virginia. You might want to pick a fabric that goes with the room and just begs you to take it home and then pull some of the colors out of it that appeal to you. That is what I like to do. Jinnie
