This is what I was thinking, too! Often a rainbow is seen at the end of a storm when the sky is changing from dark to light. Going to be a beautiful quilt.

Like them both, but I'd go for the darker one. JMHO. Please, post a photo of the finished quilt...your colors are beautiful!

I almost keep my opinion to myself because of all the votes for the lighter one but personally I like the darker gray, I think it makes the other colors appear richer, that's just my opinion

I think they are both good, but the darker one adds a little more drama - would be my choice.

I agree with using the darker gray for a better contrast. So that's what it will be. I do thank everyone for there opinions & suggestions. This is one to do in the fall.
