Micron Pigma pens stay. i do heat set with the iron a few seconds though. if you can't write on your label, you could hand embrioder on it instead.

Thanks for all the info concerning the printer, ink, fabric,etc.. I will have to check out the details of my printer.

If I use my printer to make labels, I have to just use black ink. The color ink washes out but not the black.

Ohhhh! At first I made my label with black ink, I heat set it , got it wet just to make sure it would stay. Then I decided to do it in color and did not bother to check it. Thankfully I washed the quilt after I sewed it on, only to find theh ink wash out. I wrote on it with a permanent sharpie. I will be experimenting with my printer.
