I have a HP that has lasted forever, it did breakdown at one point. I called the company, they send me a free shipping label. I sent the printer back and they send me a new one. Great service. That being said, when I bought a printer one of my concerns was how often you had to change cartridges. Ink can be very expensive, I found at that time the HP ink jet was the best price for the buck.
