This is just a picture of the supplies list...I believe I have the magazine with pattern and templates if you want to "borrow" it!
it's a little big for a wall hanging, but you could always take out one row and instead of putting the pouch on the back, you could hang it from the bottom of the quilt so the clothes could be reached from the front.
Now that I have looked at it again, I SO want to make it!!

You have every reason to be proud - they look like such beautiful sweet children. And all so very special, each in their own way.
How about a flip flops quilt? You can do a search, they're all over the 'net. You can use different fabrics for the foot part of the flip flop...they're pretty cute.

My friend made a beautiful wall hanging for her grandaughter by making a simple quilt block in the colors to match her room, the center square of the block was a photograph of her grandaughter with her horse. Instead of a sleeve, she used hanging tabs and put a large button on each tab, it was lovely. Her grandaughters colors were teal and lime green, I think it was just a 12" or 14" block with a border that was mitred.

I love what you have started on their quilt.
I think the tree and swing idea is wonderful, maybe a kitty to play with the puppy? some flowers and shrubs along the walk and the church? A few more trees around in the background?

Such great ideas! Your grandchildren are beautiful! I've always loved this idea of embroidering children's drawings. This example is from a little guy (or gal), but even older children's drawings would be fun to preserve.
