I just bought this fabric I just love it....as you can see it's a red print with a black background and the other is a black fabic...just wondering what a god pattern would be for using this fabric.....I have looked but didn't find anything that interested me.....these are the only two fabrics I want to use. Just the two colors.

Thanks in advance
Donna

Eleanor burns has a pattern that only uses two colors in her Night & Day book, with different size options also. By the way love the flower print.

I love the black flower print. I want to say something which is my opinion only, but I don't think I would use the black tone material with the black flower material. It doesn't look black enough. A pattern will come along you just have to wait for it.

The semi-solid looks more grey (gray?) to me than black.
Just my opinion: I don't think there'll be enough contrast using just your black solid and red/black fabric.

I remember a Guild member showing a Bear's Paw in tans. Gorgeous hand quilting, perfect piecing. From the back of the room I thought it was a wholecloth.

If you like paper piecing this might work.

I'd add a third color and do a Lady of the Lake. That's beautiful fabric; can't wait to see what you decide to do.

I'm keeping this idea in my mind too. Great ideas. You all have inspired me. Thanks.

Beautiful fabric! It looks like a chocolate brown to me instead of black.

Ditto, beautiful pattern. I would do a test block to see if there is enough contrast first. Good Luck. Love the print.
