I recently saw a tote bag that starts with 3 big squares at the bottom, sewn together at one corner, then up the sides, then other squares set into the other sides, etc., about 3 rows. When you pick it up it is kind of rounded on the bottom, not flat like a purse. Anyone recognize this description?

Thanks, Watterstide, but that's not it. It's the Sew Easy Schlep Bag posted by eparys. What a great bag!!! A friend at the quilt guild has one that someone made for her, but she didn't know the name of the pattern. Thanks!!! I can't wait to make one!!

It was fun to make and actually, depending on the size square, it can be grocery bag size to pocket book size.

So, I made one of these bags this weekend, and I love how it turned out. It's large enough to carry a small quilt or some stuff you buy at the LQS. Or, to go on a retreat...books, bible, pens, water, notebook...all that!! Really cool. I'll post pics tonight.
