I think I am going crazy but maybe someone can help me... I have been sewing applique and had previously set my stitch length to .9

I haven't sewed on my project for a while and now I can't get my stitch length to go that low, it stops at 1.0

I have a Kenmore Elite machine....maybe I am going crazy and I never was sewing at that length!

If any of you have thoughts on what I am doing wrong I would greatly appreciate it.

It's either I was dreaming that I sewed that length before, or it's something simple I am just missing.

Thanks, Suzie.....

I really do feel dumb, I just went back and looked at my machine and I was using the applique stitch instead of the zigzag stitch and once I put the zig zag stitch into my machine I could change the length....how dumb am I?????

Problem solved!

I have no idea about your machine settings....but I love your Golden. She looks a lot like my Lucy but a few years younger.

That's not being dumb. Because if it is then I have got to be the dumbest of all. LOL

Since you are new here, you may not know about the sewing gremlins. They are sneaky and never get caught in the act, but we sure see the results of their visits....Oh the stories that have been told about them here.....it could curl your hair!!!! ;-)

Don't have that machine, but have found that sometimes if I shut mine off, walk away for an hour or two, then come back, the machine has been adequately punished and will do what I want. Did I mention that my Pfaff is a bit of a Diva?
