Thanks everyone. I’ve never made churn dash blocks but that sounds like a good idea.

Fussy cut the boots into squares if you have enough fabric. Then create your favorite block in that size in red, white and blue to complement it. Add a border then Voila you have a table runner. Did this for a baby quilt. I substituted fussy cut sheep fabric for the white squares. I didn’t worry if there were parts of sheep around the edge of the square, just that the center of it was pleasing to the eye.

Love your fabric. 10 minute table runner would give top attention to the boots.

I would make a whole cloth runner and add red, and blue borders. There is enough white in the background. I would prewash the fabric just in case the red or blue bleeds.

I would do a red/white/blue block in the center and then have the boots going in the correct directions off both sides. You could do a very simple block or, if you felt the urge, a start block. Then either just bind or do a small border around the whole thing.

I'm with the people that say keep the boot print large, it's a fantastic piece. I like the idea of a churn dash, but I think I'd be making something more like a simple star blocks out of red, white and blue prints with the boots in the center. I'd alternate the red and blue stars, you can even put in white spacers for more length.

Great idea to show off the print and it is super easy to make.
