Having taught this age range for 40 years before retiring the most popular subject was dinosaurs, especially if you put names on.

With the Avengers movie, Ironman, Spiderman, Batman and Superman coming out soon, boys love their super heros. My grandson loves Spiderman so I made him Warm Wishes with Spiderman and Avengers. He named himself Captain Peanutbutter and I'm Super DD.lol

I instruct a community quilt class once a month and this year we are doing the children books with quilts to go with them. Viewer's Choice winner at the end of the year quilt exhibit will get to choose the children's group/charity that gets all the quilts.

My DGS who lives with me is 12. For the past several years it has been all about sports, electronics and video games. DGD's are into clothes, shoes, fashion. May something around these things.
