Would someone point me to a tute for tying knots when hand finishing bindings on quilts. I recently did one and it seemed my knots had a mind of their own. I was taught by my mom to loop thread 3 times around the needle when pulling out of fabric. Any help for me :?

I find that hiding knots are easier if I put my thumbnail on them and then tug the knot into the fabric. It works for any kind of thread knot. I snip off the tail of the knot when beginning and I end with the tail hidden in the batting, pull the fabric taunt and snip the thread. The end goes right into the batting.
