    i charge people $20 an hour for any 'utility-sewing'...so, if it took me 15 minutes to hem pants i would charge $5...if it took 1/2 an hour then $10....

    I do it a little cheaper than you for pants or jeans, but I do a lot of dresses for the girls at prom time. Now most of them are done, but get their younger sisters & they pay themselves not " Mom". I also do some uniforms for State Troopers, County , & Correction Officers from State prison up the road from us.
