I wanted to share a few of the pictures I took at the quilt show in Hershey. There were so many lovely quilts (too many to take pictures of). I wanted to share one that a man of 72 had pieced and quilted himself. He did not get any acclaim for his work, but in my opinion he deserved some recognition. :) I hope you enjoy seeing his and others I have posted.

Also the antique quilts were exquisive, I only wish we could of taken pictures, but I understand their rules on that. They were in such wonderful condition for the ages of them.. They went back as far as the 1830's. The applique work was so unbelievable! I truly enjoyed the exhibit.

The notecard on the 1776 quilt is hysterical. Amazing work to replicate that quilt in its entirety.

I've always liked that show - I was lucky to attend it when it was held in Gettysburg for many years.
    Thanks for sharing the pictures.

    Thanks for the eye candy!

The first white whole cloth - the big one - was that hand or machine quilted? It looks like it could be either one.

You know, I am not quite sure, but I am thinking it was handquilted. If anyone knows, please correct me if I am wrong.

Sharon, Thanks for sharing. I was on a two week trip and missed the show this year. My quilting friends went and said it was so crowded they had trouble seeing a lot of things. I liked it better when it was in Gettysburg.

All of those quilts are amazing!

The Wyoming quilt really caught my eye since I grew up in the Wyo/braska area. I'd like more info on that one, but probably is impossible to get it.

Wow. Some absolutely awesome quilts. I always love it when people are kind enough to post pictures. I won't be going to any quilt shows in the foreseeable future, so this is great. Wonderful inspiration and a true joy to look at. virg
