my example of "it isn't your mother's flower garden quilt
This is from November and I've nearly got it assembled, just throwing it in to give an idea of the range of options with english paper piecing.
La Passacaglia from the french quilt book Millefiori Quilts by Hammerstein

My next project is based on Styles' Hertfordshire quilt

I've also been bitten by the "Hexigon Bug". It's so nice to have something to work on in the evening while watching TV and having a project that travels well.

Play with them. Print some hexie graph paper and color in design ideas. Here is a picture of mine, it is pretty much a free form design as I went kind of thing. Half inch hexies. It is about 40"x50". It is still a work in progress.

I haven't made one yet but this is definitely on my to do list. The best part is when you have it as big as you want, it's done! There are some other neat ideas using this method, just google hexagon quilt as you go

Amazon has some great books for sale regarding hexie blocks. Sue Daley from Australia has great little book on all the stuff you can make with the hexagon form and other forms that you can put with them to make some really unique blocks.

Love, Love, Love your EPP - that's what I want to do sometime. Currently I only have the hexie papers, 1 1/4 and 3/4 inch ones but i want to set other papers to make some of the lovely blocks I have been seeing lately.

Just couldn't abide doing all the tiny 1 1/2" squares ... opted to purchase the plexiglas "Half Hexagon" template
and made 6" blocks .... so easy to assemble a top!
