Post Not understanding software

I attended a Floriani seminar recently and everything looked like fun and games. I am now home and after 3 trips to the computer dr. I still can not make it work. I have installed the software and inserted a cd with designs. They show up on my lap top screen but I can not get them to install on my sewing machine. I have a stick on the machine that I want them to load onto so I can take it to elegant (sitting a mere 12" away) Sewing and quilting is my fun time. I am teary and fussy. Suggestions anyone?

I love to solve computer problems, but need some more info. All I know about Floriani is that it's a jewelry line? What is the name of the software you're having problems with? What machine do you have the "stick" (assuming it's a memory stick?) in? And, is "elegant" the name of your sewing/embroidery machine? Or am I totally misunderstanding your question?

Your stick will hold more than your SM can read,,,,I have to choose and put those on another stick then my machine will read as the computer is not as big as your lap top. Hope this helps .

I have a separate memory stick for designs I create or download from sources other than Viking. I too attended this seminar and have been able to use it for applique and to make a few sample quilting designs. After I have created my design with the memory stick inserted in the computer I click on File, save as then I choose the memory stick location at the top and select my file type at the bottom, then save. Take it to my sewing machine and load it up. I will be glad when we get the books with the documentation though which should be coming soon. Please feel free to contact me if I can help further.

This really isn't a difficult thing to do, but it is hard to explain without a visual image. Wish you were here so I could show you. I use the Palette software, but what I have seen through demonstrations, they all are quite similar in the downloading of designs to your machine. Good luck and if all else fails, go to your local Baby Lock dealer for help.
