I go around but have seen tuts that are done in rows. No right or wrong I think. As long as it looks ok, do what is comfortable for you. Just enjoy the process.

I am working on one now and I put my hexagons together as flower clusters. I am not doing the paper piecing, but I think however you are doing it is just fine. I haven't put the flowers all together yet, not sure how I will end up doing it ... but I will figure this out as I go

It sounds like you did it right. After doing the center and one row of petals, I sew around on the second row, bending the paper to make the inside corners of the next row. They are completely reusable.

Very pretty start to your quilt!

Mandyrose I would just start anywhere on the next round as you asked.

I sew each hexi as I go... I too bend them to work on some seams. Do what works for you.!

I try to sew in order of what is the simplest and quickest way to get six sides sewn on any hex so the template can be removed. I am using the Quilt Patis which do NOT bend easily. Same concept.
