We had Cathy, the singing quilter do a Mock Mola workshop and she brought Hobbs black batting for us to buy and use. It was great. It has to be ordered where we live so none of us had it.
I don't worry much about the bearding. I give away most of my quilts and figure the receiver can deal with it.
Not a big deal to me for the ones I keep.
